ARTIST STATEMENT

I have felt passionate about human rights and especially women's rights for many years. My time spent in West Africa made me acutely aware of how hard women in poorer countries work to just provide the basics to sustain their families. Not just women in the poorer countries feel completely safe when going about their lives. They are always just a little bit fearful where ever they are whether they are aware of it or not. I use my ability to paint to address these and many other issues pertaining all humans but women in particular. Women's rights are human rights.
