Artist Bio:
A graduate from the School of Visual Arts in NYC, Kathleen has had a long career in Advertising. She has taught at the School of Visual Arts, Syracuse University, Pratt Institute, University of the Arts and Temple University, and Drew University.  An avid cartoonist, her cartoons were exhibited in Europe, Japan, the Middle East, and South America.  When diagnosed with MS, she created “The Art of Acceptance,” (a series of work using needles from her medication.)  She has worked in 3D ever since.  Her studio is in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Artist Statement:

Recycled, Repurposed + Redefined.

My work explores the world of the lost object: obsolete, cast off, and discarded. I take the objects found from the past that have lost their usefulness, and retain only their memory, then combine and alter them in such a way that they rise up, like a phoenix from the ashes finding a new language, new meaning and a new form.
