I am a 40-year-old survivor of domestic violence. I Lost two kids due to the violence. I have two surviving kids. I am a single mom who had a stroke eight years ago and now I struggle every day. Because of the stroke, I can't work. Because I lost two kids, mentally, It's been hard. The only thing that saves me is painting. sometimes I paint on cardboard. I am almost out of paint. I am tired, but will never give up. I don't know how. Through art, I am able to love myself again and face my trauma. I need this.

STATEMENT

I want to show people that no matter what you have been through that as long as you are breathing there is a chance. I was in a coma after my stroke. I couldn't walk or talk for over a year. My daughter died. I have found peace of mind through art and hard work.
