BIO

Natalie was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. Since 2001 she has lived and worked in Toronto, Canada.  In 1993 Natalie graduated from St. Petersburg Stieglitz Academy of Art and Design.  Since that time Natalie exhibited in her own city and joined the group of artists, who travelled internationally for art shows and cultural adventure.  Her works could be found in St. Petersburg Museum of F. M. Dostoyevsky, Private Museum of Modern Art in Heraklion, Greece, in private collections in Germany and The Netherland.  Since landed in Canada, the artist had a break from her art for about 15 years. Natalie graduated from the International Academy of Design and Technology (Toronto) in 2002.  But even during that time Natalie tried to stay close to art. The artist worked as an art instructor at the Laurier Gallery Art Club in Toronto, providing an artistic outlet for both children and adults. She also helped to develop successful artistic portfolios for art schools and universities in Canada and the United States.

In 2015, after she broke her hip in a ski accident, Natalie decided to gather herself together and to return to her art.  Natalie joined the Society of Canadian Artists in 2016, and Acrylic Painters USA in 2017. She started to participate in National and International Juried Exhibitions.  In 2017 Natalie ended her abusive marriage.  In 2018 the artist arranged her Solo Exhibition in Toronto with the Laurier Gallery.  Natalie is proud to be an Award Winner with the Society of Canadian Artists, Acrylic Painters USA, Vancouver Art Space, Washington; Art Impact International, Maryland; and Envision Arts, Texas.  Natalie was honored to be part of an Amsterdam Art Fair ADAF 2019, and was there again virtually in 2020.  The artist is looking forward to expand her art experience throughout Canada, USA, and the International Art community.

Artist Statement

Being a woman I continue to explore the mystery of female nature. Taking a deep look into myself, realizing the importance and power of female spirit, I want to manifest and celebrate the mystery, creativity and freedom of female soul, sensuality and passion of female existence.

In my artwork I try to find the sound of color, to hear the color and to make the picture sound. I want to hear the vibration of the colors and tones, rhythm of the lines and shapes. I try to create the visual harmony akin to the auditory sensation that we feel while listening to music. I try to find the right tones, rhythms and vibrations to bring color, shape and line to create a visual music of harmony and happiness.
