I am a research-based artist who gazes into traditional practices from the diasporic lens. I usually embed narratives of women's subjugation and find a gateway of liberation in a radical process of empowering the feminine. This conceptualized ambiguous framework and approach unleashes the universal truth of women in general. Besides the central piece Les Femme Intuition (Fire), most of the abstract works drawn are from a palimpsestic clay process deriving pastiches from empty urban spaces that are on the verge of gentrification. Obfuscating the landscape and portraiture, I universalize these common experiences, telling the stories of estrangement present in our everyday lives.

Les Femme Intuition (Fire)

Trying to reinvigorate the matriarchal remains, I imagine the existence of a female incarnation of a fire deity, giving it a quasi anthropomorphic figuration; where the semi-abstract figure dances out of the flames to represent a female fire deity.

Effaced Tachisme

Cultural anonymity and walking through a milieu is the experience resonated in this piece, a face of an aging melancholic androgynous figure emerges out of the stain-like figurations.
