I'm Fumani Walter Maluleke from South Africa Limpopo in Thomo village under Giyani Municipality. I am a visual artist who specialises in charcoal and pastels

STATEMENT

As an artist from a deep rural village I grow up at the surrounding of village scene as my daily basis. I grow up observing the hard work of my mother as a single parent in the family who always fighting to feed us as I'm coming from the family of five I am the second born. My art works are inspired by my mother and the women who hustle out there to feed the family like my mother. My focal point is emerging the reality by the use of charcoal and pastels in fabric on paper to tell the untold story of my journey by observing from the roots core of the woman.
