Born in Havana Cuba, emigrated to the USA , lived in Miami FL, Chicago IL and now in Normal IL. BFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago
ARTIST STATEMENT
The art work I chose is from a series of hands and arms I called Brothers in Arms. They are painted with oil on plaster. The texture and colors that the plaster gives creates a feeling of earth, muddy and displaced, giving the works a sense of action.
