RAVIRAJ, B.Sc., B.F.A., M.B.A., M.A(JMC)., M.V.A., M.F.A.,
A prolific artist par excellence and many-time recipient of various State Awards and National level Awards. Mr. Raviraj Born in 9th November at Salem, lived at Namakkal and living in Coimbatore India. Received 2 National Awards and 4 State Awards. In 1992 he established the first institution in the District – “Lalit Kalakshetra” . He is the Author of 36 Art Books. He Founded “OVIA SANDHAI” first of its kind in Tamil Nadu for the welfare of Artists’ community to establish art market. Received ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ – (24th October 2009) – Rotary Club of Coimbatore. He is the Editor and Publisher for ‘ART BEATS’ (Monthly). “KALAGRAM” Established (2011) - an Art Village – “KALAGRAM” Art & Culture Research and Development Centre Thondamuthur (2.5 acre). Helped the people who are affected by the ‘Thane Strom’ (5.3.2012) by selling his Paintings.
Raviraj's love of Art was evident from the youngest age. After high school, he obtained multiple qualifications and degrees in Fine Arts, after which he started off by painting cinema hoardings and sign boards. He first came in to lime light as a Painter in the late 1980's.
In 1996, Raviraj's first solo exhibition was held at Coimbatore and soon he became popular and known as an Artist. He had a stint as Art Director at an Advertising Agency in Saudi Arabia. Back home, under Raviraj's meticulous training (Lalit Kalakshetra, Coimbatore) thousands of students have been well placed all over India, Singapore, England, Germany and USA.
