The inspiration for my series " Lay of the Land " comes from fossils, hieroglyphs, cave drawings and satellite photography. The land records our history and these landscapes I paint are imaginary sites of what another generation might discover, the clues we have left behind.

I was born in Havana Cuba. I have a BFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have shown most of my work in Chicago and the Midwest area, but I have also shown works on LA and NY.
