"This is a piece from a series of endangered animals on boats that are sinking or imperil. These metaphoric works are intended to help the viewer feel uncomfortable about the animals' situation without being too graphic. Although this boat is not sinking, there are no paddles, the boat is unmoored and going into an unknown destination without the ability to alter its course."
