FREEDOM DAY! Juneteeth 2025
International Art Exhibition
- CALL FOR ART ENTRIES -
DEADLINE: JUNE 8TH 11:30 PM
This Call for Art Entries is for artists who wish to commemorate Freedom Day!
Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas.
We await your meaningful artwork that will stir souls, spark dialogue and stand as an enduring testament to the human capacity for resilience, hope and the unending pursuit of a better world. FREEDOM FOR ALL!
