Yogamy Ferreras-Farley is an artist from Wood-Ridge, NJ. A native of Santo Domingo, The Dominican Republic, her colorful paintings are often reflective of the vibe and culture of the people in The Dominican Republic.
Her works are predominately studies of composition and shape, harmoniously derived from her unique sensibility to create texture with color. Yogamy incorporates a contemporary impressionistic style to create lush backdrops that naturally embrace her subjects.
Yogamy is a multiple award-winning artist whose artwork has been exhibited in several art galleries throughout the US. Available artwork for sale at Hoboken Arts Gallery.
Yogamy holds a BFA Degree in Illustration from Parsons School for Design, New York City, and worked as an Illustrator - currently working on commissions and exhibiting her work.
My artwork is inspired mostly by artists from Impressionism and post Impressionism movements. Such influences as Cezanne, Monet, Degas, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, and expressionist Basquiat to name a few. They all taught me visually the effects of light and color over shapes.
