I combine traditions from the past, such as hand-built panels and traditional gesso, with my own personal techniques, such as painting in a layered watercolor style without tints or shades, adding modern pigments to create a truly unique style.

“You don’t paint the world as it is, you paint the world as you are.” These words were spoken to me by Dorian Allworthy in 2019 when I was a BFA painting student. She said this to me about why painters paint, and it summed it up better than I ever could. Till that time I could not articulate why I painted. My paintings are the world as I see it.
