Bio & Statement
Lourdes Valverde was born and raised in México. Now, She is based in Bentonville, AR. She got a Bachelor's degree in Science of Industrial Engineering from Durango Technologic Institute. She is a self-taught artist taking art seminars and workshops to improve her work. Fellow of Artist INC and represented by ArtVentures Gallery in Fayetteville, AR. and part of the board in Fenix Gallery. She has participated in many art exhibitions in Cultural Centers, museums, and galleries in México and Arkansas (US). Her work is about faces and feeling expressions, and about things that amaze her. She has used oil, acrylic, and pastel painting. Some time she experiments with different materials.
This painting "Muriendo (dying)", can speak by itself. The most vulnerable sector of the population fighting the pandemic of COVID-19 are the old people. This painting called "Muriendo" has impacted a lot of people these days when it remains them how dangerous and strong has been this virus with our most loved people.
