Kathleen Stark

Pandemic, The Light Therein

(August 2020)

During this time of 'at home confinement it has been surprisingly easy to come up with subjects for my paintings. Just when I think I have exhausted my ideas, something happens in the outside world that gives me something new and challenging. This time, I have used my great desire to become sensitive to the divide between people of color and we white people. I want to understand my part in this and how I can be a change for the better. I am also aware of the need of all people to find a continuing center of peace in a chaotic world. Everyone's center is different but it is there if we look for it.
