This Call for Art Entries is for artists who wish to commemorate Freedom Day!

Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas.  The Emancipation Proclamation was signed by President Abraham Lincoln on January 1st 1863. President Biden signed legislation in 2021 that made Juneteenth, which falls on June 19, a federal holiday.  Artists, let's hear and see what you have to say and show!

Selected work(s) will:
 

• be exhibited in the virtual 3-D virtual gallery

• appear on the Art Impact Exhibitions T.V. channel on ROKU and Amazon Fire TV

• appear in the print-on-demand exhibition catalog

• appear in the group video on social media

• appear in the 3-D gallery artist talk and tour event via Zoom.

Entry Fee:  Submit up to three (3) art works. 

$0 (Free for Art Impact International Members in good standing.)  

$45 (for non-members.)*

RULES:​

1. ​Artists ages 18 years and older, from any country in the world may apply.

2. All media, including but not limited to painting, photography, poetry reading, spoken word video, are accepted.  Video files must be less than 128 MB.  Allowed file types: .mov, or .mp4, (.mp3 for audio readings.)  2D entries must be submitted in the correct high resolution format (jpg, jpeg, png.) minimum 1MB - maximum 8MB in size.

3. One entry form submitted per artist (upload up to three artworks.)

4. Artwork must be kid friendly.  No explicit sexual imagery will be selected.

5. The artwork submitted by the artists may be used for further marketing, publications or exhibitions.  By submitting artworks, the artists agree to grant the Organizers limited Use Rights.  Read Use Rights Agreement Here.

6. All submitted artworks may not be selected.  Entry fees are non-refundable.
