Brenda Chandler was born in Bronx, N.Y. Went to St.Augustine Catholic School where the nuns took us to great field trips such as Lincoln Center and The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. Studied Commercial Photography in high school. Became fascinated with The Smithsonian Museums and became an intern at the Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum in my mid 50's while attending The University of the District of Columbia where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art with the concentration in Graphic Design. Brenda's artwork has been shown at The Golden Show, The Best of the Best Juried Art Exhibition, 2017, Washington DC, Black Heritage Through Visual Rhythms, Columbus Ohio 2018, Palette 22 Restaurant, Shirlington VA, 2019.
While coloring in the adult coloring books I became bored and dissatisfied with the final projects look. That's when I got the idea to color digitally. After modifying a free coloring book image digitally, colors and desired textures are applied onto images foreground and background. To keep the integrity of the large dpi's are always used.
